Deep Creek Counseling

My counseling areas of focus include: grief, anxiety, boundaries, communication and relational issues, life transitions, stress management, depression, play therapy, behavioral difficulties, couples counseling and parent consultation.

My mission and desire is to help people experience healing and growth. I desire to support and empower others to take the steps they desire towards hope and healing, while providing helpful tools and coping skills along the way.

As well as working with adults, I have a passion to work with children and adolescents. After fifteen years in education, I desire to come alongside children and support them in their struggles. I use a variety of methods when working with children including, play therapy, sand tray, and other expressive arts therapy.

I believe we are holistic beings: emotional, spiritual, mental, physical and approach counseling with a holistic process. I hold a Christian worldview and can integrate biblical principles into our counseling sessions for clients that desire this integration. While I hold a Christian perspective, I do not impose my values onto clients with differing worldviews.

I have a master’s degree in counseling with a specialization in children and youth and I’m a Professional Counselor Associate (R7545) with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counseling and Therapists. I am supervised by Rebecca Jones, LPC and Ken Logan, Licensed Psychologist. I previously received my bachelor’s degree in Education as well as my National Boards Teaching Certification.

In my personal time I enjoy paddle boarding, running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends. My husband, family and I enjoy living in the woods and being outdoors. I am actively involved in my church community and love being around people.
